57 years ago the great Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. led the ‘March on Washington’ to fight for freedom. To carry on his legacy, we joined Martin Luther King III, Rev. Al Sharpton & countless others at the Lincoln Memorial to and continued this fight.

BLM/HBG & UniteCentralPA is a Black-led Pennsylvania Nonprofit Corporation. We are a group seeking equality for our black race. We welcome all Nationalities believing in our movement. We are based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but work within all cities and towns in central Pennsylvania, with plans to spread our reach to surrounding states as we grow, because equality for black lives is THAT important

This rally was presented by The Movement - a Harrisburg movement to protect all people and Black Lives Matter. It honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and the "Get Off Our Necks" Committment March on Washington. 

Held on the capitol steps, members of the community gathered to uplift the efforts of past and present advocates, and to encourage people to reject the complicity of silence to be "bigger than" apathy, fear, and injustice.
